Move Beyond Food Rules and Body Criticism
Food & Body Image Life Coaching for Women in Midlife
Spend less time criticizing your body, feel more at ease around food, and make choices that feel supportive, rather than driven by rules or fear.
Hi, I’m so glad you’re here.
Becky Roberts, ACC
A constant barrage of thoughts about food. Calories, carbs, points, macros, etc.
Trying diet after diet, thinking that each one will finally be the answer.
Cycles of rigid control and feeling out of control, with self-criticism running underneath it all.
Letting the number on the scale, the fit of your clothes, or what you ate decide how you feel about yourself that day.
Only allowing yourself certain food at certain times, often only “when you deserve them.”
Longing for the ease of trusting your body and making peace with food, but fear of losing control.
You might be here because…
Instead of criticizing your body in the mirror each morning, you begin noticing the critical voice without automatically believing it, and start responding to yourself with more compassion.
Instead of letting the scale decide your mood, you begin to realize a number can’t tell you how worthy, healthy, or okay you are.
Instead of counting calories, you begin paying attention to what sounds good and when you feel satisfied.
Instead of searching for the one outfit that hides your body, you begin choosing clothes that fit and feel good on the body you have today.
The Types of Goals We Work Towards Together
Progress looks different for everyone, but here are the some of the more common, small, daily moments you can look forward to after working with me:
It’s my belief that when moments like these are no longer your constant background noise—when you can simply exist and be present with the people you love—that’s real freedom.
How I Work
A gentle, non-diet approach.
My work never includes diet plans, weight-loss strategies, food tracking, or telling you what you should or shouldn’t eat. Instead, I offer a supportive, nonjudgmental space to understand the parts of you caught in the struggle, and to begin making choices from self-trust rather than fear. My approach to food and body image life coaching weaves together these five things:
Mindfulness
Teaches you to slow down, notice your thoughts and feelings with presence, and reduce stress by living more fully in the moment.
Somatic Work
Uses body-based awareness and techniques to release stored tension and emotions, allowing for deeper healing and nervous system regulation.
Coaching
Helps you clarify your goals, overcome obstacles, and move forward with confidence through structured guidance and support.
Non-Diet Philosophy
Supports you in moving beyond rigid food rules and diet culture, listening more closely to your body's cues, and making choices with greater trust and flexibility, guided by principles of Intuitive Eating.
IFS
Helps you identify and understand the different “parts” of yourself, so you can heal inner conflict and create more self-compassion and clarity.
